Dear Parent/Carer
December 2025 Mock GCSE Exams
This is to inform you that the mock examinations for Year 11 students have been scheduled for next week.
The purpose of the mock exams is to assess students’ progress in Year 11 and provide them with an opportunity to practise under formal exam conditions. The results will allow us to identify individual gaps in learning and will also give us some indication of which level [Higher or Foundation] the student should be entered into for the summer examinations.
Pupils are expected to arrive promptly at 8.50am. There will be two exams each morning: the first will take place during periods 1 & 2 (9am-10.25am) and the second during periods 3 & 4 (10.45am-12.00pm).
Students will be released after lunch at 12.45pm each day to enable them to revise at home during this exam period.
